THE CORPUS FAMILY STUDIO RESIDENCY IS A BI-ANNUAL, WEEK-LONG PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES LOCAL MUSICIANS WITH 36 HOURS OF FREE RECORDING TIME AND THE USE OF PROFESSIONAL EQUIPMENT AND ENGINEERS AT CORPUS STUDIOS IN BLISSVILLE, QUEENS.

About the process: Applications are reviewed by our panel of judges, and scored in the categories of OVERALL APPLICATION (1-5); PLAN FOR STUDIO (1-5); and MUSIC (1-5). All judge panel scores are then averaged, to determine a winner. Please answer every question with as much detail as possible. You can view the full judge list below the application. GUEST JUDGES
BEARCAT is a London born New-York based artist. Using sound as her medium as a DJ, performance artist and producer, she describes herself as a dancefloor therapist that aims to permeate healing through music, as she in turn heals herself through this practice.
KeiyaA is a Chicago-born, New York-based vocalist, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. She independently released her debut album Forever, Ya Girl in 2020.
Nick Hakim is a versatile artist pushing the boundaries of genre and embracing fluidity between R&B, soul, indie, psychedelia, and more.
CORPUS JUDGES
Harlan Steed is the bassist and producer of Show Me the Body and singer of President Evil. He is a co-founder of CORPUS and co-manager of CORPUS Studios.
Julian Pratt is the singer, banjo player and producer for Show Me The Body. He is a co-founder of CORPUS.
Nitaya Simms is an artist and musician based in NYC, and a member of CORPUS.
